The journey of Twisted Spoon Food Co began with a deep respect for where food comes from and the people who grow it. After years of working in true farm‑to‑table regions, Chef CJ and his wife, Ashley, learned firsthand the value of local ingredients. And they know the importance of relationships built with the farmers behind those ingredients. Those connections shaped not only how they cook, but why they cook.
When Chef CJ first visited the Prescott Farmers Market, it was immediately clear that Yavapai County was something special. Seeing the abundance of locally grown produce and meeting the farmers who cultivate it sealed the decision to make this area home.
After spending several years gardening, their appreciation for local farmers only grew stronger. The high‑desert climate can be demanding. The dedication it takes to produce quality food here is remarkable. That understanding fuels their commitment to honoring every ingredient used.
Chef CJ said, “Today, our focus is simple and intentional.
