Skull Valley Lavender Farm was begun in 2008 by Bob and Anita Scheelings with an emphasis on natural organic farming and living compassionately with the native and domestic animals. In 2016 Will Duncan took it over to carry on their vision as well as to add a dimension of permaculture stewardship to the land and to diversify into healing herbs. Skull Valley Lavender Farm is also the home of the Sofia Community, a small group of friends dedicated to non-dogmatic meditation practice, yoga, and the development of compassion. We gather together three times a day in the meditation hall for prayer and meditation and spend the rest of our time joyfully farming and working with the land.
