New Partnership with Mandalay Homes

Mandalay Homes Partners with Local Businesses to Welcome New Homeowners

The Prescott-based homebuilder welcomes buyers with local flavors

(Prescott, Ariz.) – Mandalay Homes is giving their homeowners a taste of Prescott when they close on their new Mandalay home.

Beginning in March of this year, those who purchase a new Mandalay home in Prescott, Prescott Valley, Wickenburg, Clarkdale and Chino Valley enjoy a new homeowner gift basket filled with eco-friendly, organic and locally sourced items from surrounding area small businesses. These gift baskets help new homeowners get acquainted with all that Prescott has to offer and in turn helps the small businesses in the area. The basket features soaps and lotions from Prescott Farmers Market, gourmet spices from L. Bell Ranch, hot sauce from Whipstone Farm, wine from Prescott Winery, and fresh honey, tea and jams from The Honeyman. Mandalay Homes also includes products from green and sustainable companies in their baskets like bio degradable paper towels and eco-friendly hand and dish soaps.

Mandalay Homes is a big supporter of local and eco-friendly products. Co-owner Kristy Everson came up with the idea to gift these baskets to new Mandalay home owners. “Locally owned businesses that produce products in and around Prescott are very important to people who live and work here. We want to do everything we can to support them. My favorite part of closing a new Mandalay home in one of our communities is giving the gift baskets to our new homeowners,” said Everson.

Those who operate the local businesses are very thankful their products will be put in the hands of nearly 250 households this year, this exposure has great potential to increase their customer base. Leslie Cronquist who owns L Bell Ranch in Skull Valley, a local provider of grass-fed beef to Prescott and the surrounding area is one of those business owners. “We are very thankful to have our salt and pepper blends included in the Mandalay Homes closing gift baskets. We find that partnering with other local businesses like Mandalay Homes has helped create and bolster a thriving and uniquely vibrant local community,” Bell said.

Kelley Villa, Director of Community Outreach at Prescott Farmers Market is grateful for the opportunity to introduce these local products to a new audience. “Prescott Farmers Market’s partnership with Mandalay Homes is a win-win-win. We love being able to share the bounty of Northern Arizona agriculture with Mandalay’s new homeowners in the Prescott area. Our producer-only nonprofit farmers market is a community gathering space where everyone is welcome. Exploring our farmers market means that you’ll see your neighbor, meet your farmer, and know your food,” said Villa.
