Sue Bunger has been selling her baked goods since she was in high school. She has over 30 years of experience as a pastry chef. She worked as Food Service Manager for Marriott Food Services, Gonzaga University and Harrington School District in Washington. She and her husband moved to the Prescott area in 2011 and she began selling delicious baked goods at Prescott Farmers Market in 2012.
Sue is a big supporter of agriculture and a generous member of our community. She is committed to using locally-grown ingredients; she loves to barter with farmers at the market for fresh ingredients and is always on the lookout for new sources of fruit. The flour Sue uses in all her baked goods comes from her son’s farm in Sprague-Carrington, Washington. His and two other families east of Spokane form a small wheat farmer co-op. Sue is proud to use the wheat her son grows in her baked goods.
Sue’s favorite item to bake is pie. She enjoys rolling out the dough and experimenting with different fillings. Her love of pies can be tasted in every one; customers rave about them. Every week Sue donates all of her unsold baked goods to fixed-income seniors through Faith United Community Church.
You can find Sue at the market every Saturday or contact her through her website.
