We interviewed the vendor who has the perfect little coffee truck. Read about Michele Tryon, owner of Connect Coffee Co., and why her business is so much more than the eye-catching vehicle.
Tell us about Connect Coffee Co.: I have been in business since May 2024 and have been a vendor at PFM for two years. At the heart of Connect Coffee Co.’s ethos is a passion for excellence and authenticity. I source all-organic coffee and lemonade, ensuring every drink meets a high standard of taste and sustainability. As a small, family-oriented business, I strive to turn heads and warm hearts in Prescott. I do this by offering not just a caffeine fix but a genuine, timeless coffeehouse vibe on wheels.
What do you sell at PFM? I sell Espresso drinks, teas, and seasonal drinks, all from the counter of my truck.
How would you describe one of your products to someone who has never tried it before? Connect Coffee Co.’s drinks are balanced and smooth with a touch of sweetness.
How do your products differ from store bought products? We make every drink to order, customizing everything from the flavor to the milk. But the real fun is the experience. Customers get to watch their drink being made right in front of them while they fall in love with the tiniest, cutest coffee truck they’ve ever seen.
What is special about your business? While it may start with the truck that draws people in and sparks conversation, the coffee and the connection keep them coming back. We’re creating an experience—one where people get to see the craft, the movement, and the intention behind every drink.
What are your business plans for the future? I really want to keep growing within the community by partnering with local businesses so people always know where to find our coffee. I’m also excited to expand our catering with more unique, specialized, experience‑driven offerings. And someday, I’d love to open a brick and mortar shop where we can serve not only drinks, but a wider menu that reflects everything we love to create.
Why is supporting local agriculture and business important to you? It’s all connected. When we choose local, we’re investing back into our own community and supporting each other. People at the farmers market are passionate about what they create. Together, we’re building a place people are proud to be part of.
Do you have a “fun fact” about yourself, your business, or product? A “fun fact” is that Connect Coffee Co. exists because I believe coffee is more than a drink. It’s a way to bring people together and get them talking. Our name is more than just words—it’s our mission. We believe that coffee is a connector—a simple yet powerful way to bring people together, spark conversations, and create lasting memories.
How do you typically prepare to attend the market? Each week starts with fresh coffee beans and a new batch of cold brew. I prep ahead by stocking syrups, ingredients, and supplies, and ensuring the truck is clean, filled with water, and ready for service. Some items are loaded the night before, with the rest added in the morning. When I reach the market, I can focus fully on the customer experience. From there, it’s about being efficient, welcoming, and consistent.
What else would you like customers to know about you and your business? Every detail is centered on delivering the best possible customer experience and crafting a drink that’s consistently delicious and worth coming back for.
How can customers stay in touch? Follow Connect Coffee Co. on Facebook and Instagram, and visit us in person on Saturdays at PFM, usually in the inner south row. We love catering events as well, so reach out for your next corporate event, private party, or wedding.
