The Orme School will hold its annual fruit tree pruning workshop at Burpee Garden Complex on Saturday, February 15th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension workshop is conducted by Matt Halldorson, Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent and Jeff Schalau, Emeritus Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent. Basic pruning techniques will be demonstrated, followed by hands-on pruning of the orchard trees.
Some tools will be available but if you have them, please bring your own work gloves and tools. Make sure they are labeled so they don’t get lost or mixed up with those of other participants.
A bag lunch is provided with reservations.
