Anita and Bob Scheelings  |  (928) 442-3817 www.skullvalleylavender.com  |   Email Vendor

What: A variety of hardy, mostly culinary Lavender, Hops, Fruits, Berries, Figs, and Grapes. We also have a few hives with bees for delicious local honey.

Products offered: Lavender, Lavender Essential Oil, Lavender Hydrosol, Culinary Buds & Bundles, Soap, Honey, Culinary Lavender Products, Lavender Bath Salts, Hops, Navajo Churro Wool, AWA Certified Eggs, and Regionally Adapted Baby Lavender Plants.

Philosophy:
If you spend just a few minutes each day thinking about the choices you make; What you buy, what you eat, what you wear, how it was made, if it harmed the environment, if it hurt animals, if it was socially unjust? That would cause you to make small changes. If millions of people make small changes, we start affecting the profits, making these products a liability. Quote by Jane Goodall
Anita & Bob started Skull Valley Lavender farm in 2008, after years of horse training the couple decided to shift their focus towards farming and art. Lavender is a good match for the soil and the climate of the region.

Everything at the farm has a purpose and a more-or-less symbiotic relationship. As well as supplying great tasting, nutritious, pasture-raised eggs, the chickens at Skull Valley Lavender Farm help to control insect pests and weeds that can infest the crops, and a small flock of Navajo Churro sheep keep the weeds under control, and in turn provide their beautiful double-coated wool. The farm is AWA Certified, and Bee Friendly Certified, and uses no pesticides or herbicides.

Adhering to the principles as advocated by Wendell Berry, Joel Salatin, and Vandana Shiva (just some of the true sustainable farming heroes), the farm is steadily becoming more fertile and productive – a beautiful oasis nestled in the Prescott National Forest.

Anita and Bob are always working to expand the Skull Valley Lavender Farm product lines and to continue with their efforts to make the farm as diverse as possible, as well as educating others. Skull Valley Lavender Farm products are available at local farmers’ markets and directly at the farm.

We are a small family operated hobby farm, specializing in products made with goats milk. We hand raise, hand milk, and hand make our goats, soaps, and lotions. Our products are as pure and natural as they can possibly be. We also raise Angora goats and sheep.
All ‘Goat Barn’ soaps and lotions are handmade from the milk of our own goats. We use the highest percentage of pure goat milk possible in each of our products.
We strive to learn to make and use products as natural as possible for better health and self-reliance.

PRODUCTS: goat milk soaps, lotion, lotion bars, lip balm, yarn and other fiber related items.
